Palliative Visiting Volunteer Program 
This Program offers support for individuals challenged with life limiting illness, their family members and caregivers. Support from North Perth Community Hospice is offered through a client-centered holistic approach to care.
 


Visiting Volunteer Services 
can provide...
  • Emotional Support - listening with a compassionate ear offering emotional support and understanding
  • Family Support and Respite - Providing short term relief for the caregiver, helpful information from resource library and linking family and clients with other community support systems
  • Companionship - spending quality time, legacy work, dignity therapy in the home, long-term care home, hospital or wherever needed through the illness
  • Practical Support - Based on each client's needs and interests, shall errands, getting to appointments
  • Bereavement Support - following an end-of-life journey with a loved-one, family/friends will be supported by their Visiting Volunteers
Our Visiting Volunteers
Have been thoroughly screened and have completed a comprehensive 
training course.
Have cleared the Vulnerable Sector Check with the Police.
Are carefully matched with families to meet the needs of the individuals and their family.
Honor and respect the privacy, confidentiality and dignity of their clients.
